Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming Phantom Liberty sourcebook shows itself to be an ambitious project, as it focuses not only on adding new content to the game, but also on fixing problems prevalent in the base game. Although the game has been refined since its disastrous release, Phantom Liberty still attempts to overhaul much of Cyberpunk 2077, raising the question of whether it is best to wait until after the release of the sourcebook to play the game. Players can prepare enough Cheap Cyberpunk 2077 EuroDollar in the game.

One of the things that has been highly praised since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 is the relationships that the main character, V, builds with different characters throughout the game. Several of the love stories in Cyberpunk 2077 have been praised for their portrayal of the bonds that quickly form between hope and tragedy that are common in the City of Night. This can also be found in the platonic relationships that V forms with others, but one relationship in particular could benefit by being expanded upon in Phantom Freedom.

Phantom Freedom should make V's relationship with Count Johnny possible
Aside from V, the most important character in Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand, or more specifically his imprint, reluctantly encroaching on V's mind. The relationship between the two men who share the same body drives much of the plot as they try to figure out how to extract V's mind from him in a way that doesn't kill them. Depending on the player's reaction to Johnny's comments, the relationship between the two may vary from bickering individuals who hate each other to something akin to an inseparable friendship.

While any dialogue between the two is well-written and fleshed out, there is only one situation where their relationship is important to the main story, and that only occurs when the percentage meter tracks the two reaching the highest level of proximity. This opens up the game's secret ending, where V raids Arazaka alone, which is a great way to show how close the two are, but the game could have used more instances to show how previous interactions set the tone for how they communicate with each other.

Phantom Freedom offers a great opportunity to make this one of the improvements to the game's story, as Johnny Silverhand is notorious for not trusting anyone in a position of authority, especially from a corporation or government agency. Since the expansion revolves around NUSA, the notion that V is willing to work for the government either creates a natural disconnect between the two or gains experience combining them by seeing another authority use its influence to exploit.

Whatever relationship V has with Johnny may also influence their level of support or hostility before getting to the content of the profile. There are even times when they show concern if V's behavior seems out of place, and relief if they begin to agree with Johnny after the constant arguments leading up to the Phantom Freedom event. If anything is different, it's that the bickering between V and Johnny in the source material will be just as much of a highlight as it was in the base game, but it's nice to see what direction things will go depending on the player's choices.

Phantom Liberty is influencing the story of the base game, as it has been confirmed that the sourcebook will add a new ending to Cyberpunk 2077. It's unclear what that ending will look like, but it would be great if it aligned with the more hopeful outcome in V. By further emphasizing the relationships players build with Johnny in the base game and expansion pack, it could further deepen the emotional intent of the narrative, as this new ending only comes after facing what could be their greatest struggle.
