In regard to our system"working fine as is," we're aware that it is not ideal, but there is not always a solution that satisfies issues from all perspectives. Also, there are other problems taking up our own time, and we are just volunteers, thus we do not always have enough time to dedicate to tackle some of those smaller problems. My previous comments were intended to clarify the situation stands as it now does for the specific issues mentioned, maybe not describe why things won't change.
1 complication with post filtering is it can't be assumed users will always utilize standards in a place that will trip a filter as this isn't necessarily the situation. AutoModerator filters based on particular criteria, so building a precise list that is only specific to everything you're trying to capture isn't always possible.
Some users know the way to intentionally bypass filters, which makes them worthless, and when we make a filter too broad, more posts are filtered than justified. This creates more frustration for consumers and more work for us while we'd like to prevent over-moderating. We may look into attempting to revive a filter for phishing email inquiries, but that is a thing for us to talk in private one of the mod group. The previous filter was unable to accomplish what was wanted at the moment, so it was disabled for the time being. These articles do discuss an obsession with other filters within our subreddit, therefore a number of them are removed for other reasons.
To explain on the last sentence out of my previous comment, overall, this subreddit is for Runescape's community, and as subreddit mods, we'd rather our presence be minimal. While some other subreddits might have an extremely visible mod existence, that's not something we're interested in.
