Inviato - 17/07/2020 : 09:11:43 Doing quests is a fantastic way. Doing the early signifies that for some of those quests, the exp benefits are somewhat still kinda meaningful. And lots of the unlocks are useful. RS3 has May's Quest Caravan that adds rewards are quest point landmarks. For every 25 QP which you get, you can find a Magical Dice, which when rolled will give some GP and a random Treasure Path reward. The GP is a fantastic way to get some cash that is starter. And if you are lucky, you're going to find a couple items that worth ~500k/ea. Or if you are super lucky, you can find a dye. And in 25, 50, 75, 100 and 125 QP you can unlock bits of a hybrid armour set, which climbs with your lvlup to Tier 75. At 150 QP Vanquish can be unlocked by you. A T75 weapon that may be switched between all 3 battle styles.
I have been playing alot of control and barbarian assault. It's got me thinking of minigames. Ones that may be more dynamic even though you're running them alot. Without giving away any of mine, what are the first things that you think of when you start considering a new OSRS minigame? Probably some variation of Stealing Generation. I like the notion of a fixed map with lanes or paths, but using resource spawns at nodes that are fixed. So there might be a spot in the centre were resource nodes constantly predominate, but you won't know whether it is a shrub bark, or these. There might be other spots where a node could spawn or it might be empty that game. In total there would always be the exact same number of nodes per match and the further you move out of your group's foundation. The highest tier resources would be at the center.
I kinda imagine it being shaped somewhat like a watch with every group having a base having a exceptional exit to each of the two chief lanes that revolve round the map making an oval. Subsequently the centre is between the two lanes. There could be some side rooms also or branches off the main paths also. But a team vs team minigame similar like this would be great to SC. Nevertheless, my minigame that is perfect is likely of. Team vs Team minigames like Castle Wars may be great fun, which is one which begins everyone could be good to see. But group coop minigames like BA can always be great when you've got a team that is fantastic. Something like the gauntlet but for teams may be cool in the event that you were able to work in some role system in like BA.
I like the teams aspect. But RS minigames that require teams have turnouts. It would be great to have pvp but possess nothing from outside the minigame itself affect it. (Lv 3 could mess a 126) the combat could be more"skill" based. Deception involved. I would need to spend more time thinking especially of a mechanic. To make it most successful I'd say have a reward store with some equipment reward which may affect both out of gameplay or combat or skilling but needs one to play with more matches later on to keep on with it. Have each team divide. 1 person become their"winner". The remainder of the group is divided into groups to assemble supplies and craft armor to the winner and the winner has to increase their combat levels.
