Heavy is the head, however, and Sony's inflexible stance on cross-progression is looking pretty frustrating next to the today wide-open Microsoft.
It's going to be hard for Sony to walk the Fortnite thing back, even if fortnite traps might eventually make a wider retreat. Plenty of players like me will have started alternate accounts and arleady shaped a kernel of resentment against the PlayStation. The game is far from up, but it is not Sony's finest moment.
Update: I've seen some confusion on Twitter, so it needs to be evident that unlinking your PSN accounts doesn't let you migrate your Epic accounts to Xbox One and Switch. The account is tagged as having been linked to PSN, and it will not be altered. The Epic Games site is quite clear about this when you attempt to unlink your account--notice the last box.
Last season we had the Blockbuster Challenge, which asked us to complete seven full weeks of rewarded and challenges us with a puzzle legendary skin for outside issues, together with special narrative-based loading screens on the way.
In Season 5, it's the exact same thing, only this time it's called the"Road Trip" Challenge. And I think I've a fairly good idea what it is going to look like, or at least what wide aesthetic genre it fits into. It is always possible Epic is drifting a red herring down my stream, but now I'm willing to go out on a sidewalk.
