Pokémon Diamond and Pearl introduced three new evolution stones: the Dawn, Dusk, and Shiny Stones. Each stone can be used on a Pokémon that previously had no further evolution. The Dawn Stone, in particular, provides two unique evolutions to Pokémon that already had final forms before the release of Diamond and Pearl. Additionally, because Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are mostly faithful to the original games, players can obtain the Dawn Stone before beating the Elite Four.
There are nine evolution stones you can collect and use to evolve your Pokemon. One of these stones is the Dawn Stone which you can use to evolve Kirlia into Gallade and Snorunt into Froslass. Players will first be able to get their hands on a Dawn Stone in Mt. Coronet shortly after defeating Cyrus at Team Galactic's headquarters. Once they've beaten Cynthia and gained access to the Battle Zone, they'll be able to find another one near a trainer on the north side of Route 225. It's up on a high ledge, so reaching it will require the use of the Rock Climb HM.
You to travel to Route 225. At the northernmost part of the area, there is a small platform with a Pokeball that you can travel to. However, you must have the HM Rock Climb to access this area. If you do not already have Rock Climb, you can find it by going to Route 217 after defeating Snowpoint City’s Gym Leader.
